FREE PATTERN - Macrame Bracelet

 Things you will need to complete your bracelet

Beads

Wax cord

Cutters

Clip Board (Office Supplies Store)

Bull Dog Clips (Office Supplies Store)

Step 1. Using your cutters cut your cord in half.

Step 2. Take 1 of the halves and cut that in half. You should have 1 piece
@ 125cm and 2 pieces @ 63cm. (Measurements are approximate)

Step 3. Place 1 of the 63cm pieces of cord evenly on to the clipboard and
clip the top half of the cord 

Step 4. Load your beads on the bottom half of the cord in the order  you
 want them to be on the finished bracelet, pull the cord tight and use the bulldog clip to attach your cord to the bottom of your board. This will be
your guide line.

Step 5. Slide the beads to the bottom of your board and place the 125cm cord under the guide at the top of your board keeping it even on both sides.

Step 6.  Making your first set of knots. Take the right side (green) of the cord over the guide take the left side (blue) of the cord under the guide and through the loop made by the right side cord. Pull tight making sure both ends are even.

Step 7. Make second knot. Take the left side (green) of the cord over the guide take the right side (blue) of the cord under the guide and through the loop made by the left side cord. Pull tight. (This completes 1 set of knots)

Step 8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 eleven more times (remember to pull tight after each knot)

so you have 12 sets of knots then push up your first bead.

Step 9. After you have pushed up your first bead, do Step 6 & 7 (1 sets of knots)

Repeat this until all the beads are secure on your bracelet. Push up 1 bead do Step 6 & 7 (1 sets of knots)

After the last bead do another 12 sets of knots to finish off.

Step 10. You should have some excess cord on either side of the guide so we will take care of these now. Use the G-S Hypo cement. Apply a generous amount of glue to both sides of the bracelet where the knots end and allow a drying time of at least 10 min.

Step 11. Once the glue has dried go ahead and snip off the excess cord.

**Note do not cut the guide, only cut the cord you were knotting with.

Step 12. Now we can finish off our bracelet by making the adjustable clasp. You need

to overlap the remaining cord, but not cross it and this will become our new guide.

Step 13. Using the last piece of 63cm cord place it evenly under the new guidelines.

Step 14. Now we repeat step 6 & 7 repeatedly until you wrap an amount you are happy with for your size wrist (Anything from 5 sets to 14 sets of knots)

**Note do not cut the guide, only cut the cord you were knotting with.Step 15. Glue and cut as per step 10. Move the 2 guide cords as it is drying to help the clasp not glue itself together.

Step 16. Add a stopper bead to each end of the remaining cord adjust the bracelet so it fits over your hand and knot the stopper beads into place now pull each stopper bead in turn to tighten the bracelet. Note the clasp will get easier the more you use it. Glue the stopper bead knots and cut off any excess. It is a good idea to allow the glue to set for 24 hours.
